Purpose: This study examines Danantara's strategy to achieve Indonesia's national economic resilience. It examines how Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, which manages USD 1.042 billion and ranks seventh in the world, can enhance national competitiveness through optimal asset management and strategic investments.
Study Design/Methodology/Approach: Using qualitative descriptive analysis, this study applies a national resilience perspective and a multidisciplinary approach. The main analytical tools include: (1) Porter's Diamond Model, which examines the determinants of national competitive advantage; (2) a SWOT-TOWS analysis, which evaluates internal and external factors; and (3) the ATHG framework, which identifies systemic risks. Data sources include regulatory documents, official reports, academic publications, and comparative studies of regional sovereign wealth funds.
Findings: Based on analysis of Porter's Diamond Model anaysis, SWOT-TOWS, and ATHG, this study proposes the establishment of Danantara Technology Management (DTM) as a third pillar to build technological capabilities, coordinate the digital transformation of SOEs, develop an innovation ecosystem, and promote technological sovereignty.
Originality/Value: This represents the first comprehensive institutional analysis of Danantara using integrated frameworks. It provides new conceptual insights through the proposed DAM-DIM-DTM triple structure, addressing a critical gap in the sovereign wealth fund literature by identifying technology management and innovation as essential competitive pillars. Practical value is derived from actionable policy recommendations for institutional evolution and insights transferable to regional peers.
